The Williams Route 66 Marathon is one of the most spectator friendly marathons in the world.
Spectators can easily catch see the the participants start, pass Veteran's Park at 5.75 miles and head South on Riverside Drive at 13.5 miles before seeing them finish at Veteran's Park. All of this action takes place within a block of the start/finish line. If you have a car you can easily catch a few more locations by driving a few miles to the Swan Lake Area and Downtown Tulsa.
Veteran's Park
Veteran's Park at 21st and Boulder is the bext place to watch the Williams Route 66 Marathon. The Williams Route 66 Marathon starts and finishes at Veteran's Park. The participants pass Veteran's Park again 5.75 miles in to the race. Spectators can also walk a block and see the participants pass at 14 and 26 miles.
Cherry Street
Spectators can watch the Williams Route 66 Marathon, enjoy live music on the course and grab a bite to eat on Cherry Street. It may just be one mile in to the marathon but the crowds will be huge and you will have easy access to the course in Downtown Tulsa where you can see the participants pass at 8-12 miles.
Woodward Park and Maple Ridge
Woodward Park and the historic Maple Ridge neighborhood is a great place to catch live music and watch the participants pass. Woodward Park is 3.25 miles in to the marathon and Maple Ridge starts at 3.5 miles and goes to 5.5 miles.
Downtown Tulsa
Downtown Tulsa offers great views of the Williams Route 66 Marathon. You can see the marathon participants twice at 3rd and Denver or listen to great live music 9.75 miles in to the race in front of the Cain's Ballroom.
Blue Dome District
Get a bite to eat and enjoy live music at Dilly Deli in the Blue Dome District just to the East of Downtown Tulsa and 10.5 miles in to the marathon
River Parks
The participants need you to get them to the finish line by cheering them through the last half of the marathon along Tulsa's newly renovated River Parks. Live Music will line the course and the pedestrian trails are perfect for those who want to follow the participants on a bike.
